According to reports, the DePuy hip replacement lawsuit multidistrict litigation (MDL) process is steadily progressing. Hip replacement depositions will soon begin to provide information regarding trials. After the two-year anniversary of DePuy hip replacement recall in August 26, 2012, another lawsuit has been added against the company.
The new lawsuit was filed by a DePuy patient who was implanted by the device in July 2007 and experienced pain in his leg and hip.
Since 2008 until the recall of DePuy's hip prostheses in 2010, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has already received hundreds of negative reports against the devices from patients who needed to undergo another hip replacement surgery.
